Today the Carnival in Italy begins for this year. And although I’ve never been, I have always found the event fascinating. The history of it, the culture, and of course the mysterious masks. They are always so fun to draw. They are comical, hauntingly beautiful, sometimes a little disturbing. But I guess that kind of reaction is what keeps me so interested.
